extraction team
burrowing explosives

unrelenting insectoid resistance
fire on scrambling bugs
bathed in a mist of entrails
acidic blood degrades my suit
to my trigger finger
overpowered and outnumbered
free limbs restrained
dragged through dismembered dead
to the birthing chambers
swarm suspends crushing burned limbs
excreting bonding glue
entangled, forcibly cemented
to the wall of incubators
gestation sac birthing eggs
peel open below
face is restrained
i’m forced to observe
as i awaken i realize time has passed by
reveal the knife stashed in my combat suit
managing to break free from adhesive restraints
and with one wounded arm i retrieve my blaster
returning to stop escape
fighting to escape the bonds
drones burst forth from shapeless walls
i will not survive
rifle lays within my reach
taking their lives with my own
firing upon the inhuman hordes
exterminating xenomorphs
combat training has prepared me for this final task
i must strive to complete
regicidal devastation
the last man alive inside the hive
fighting towards the main objective
pheromone destabilization
without their queen the bugs will leave
eyeless creatures facing extinction
leaving the hive devoid of instruction
abandoning the royal jelly
contained within the queen's thorax
my striking force wont perish in vain
my sacrifice completes the mission
surging adrenaline counting the seconds
to succeed pain will be tolerated
shrieking horror in every direction
incinerating napalm disintegrates
standing behind a burning perimeter
executing ceiling descenders
now expended my ammunition
removing the guard
the queen unprotected
suddenly comes searing pain
chest expands and ribs are cracked
pushing forth the final steps
expanding eggs decreasing breath
climbing mounds of structural ooze
sacs holding jelly for medical use
press my chest to her twitching head
the child is born and pierces us dead
